Meet the Team Behind the Board

Tierra Thorne

The idea behind Blanket and Board was born in July 2020 while Tierra and Colleen were sitting on Tierra's porch making charcuterie boards. In the midst of the pandemic, all they wanted to do was create a safe and welcoming space people of all backgrounds can meet up and create memories.

Blanket and Board provides pop-up, luxury picnics in Pittsburgh's beautiful parks, and catering private events. After just one year, Tierra and Colleen have worked day and night to delight their customers with innovative, delicious picnics with plenty of options for every diet.

Apart from Blanket and Board, Colleen and Tierra are social workers working with the various Pittsburgh populations. Blanket and Board is a female and minority-owned business.

Because of their background, Blanket and Board's mission is to uplift the at-risk populations in the community by highlighting local non-profits and donating a portion of our proceeds to programs that support equality and human rights.

So what are you waiting for? Go book your picnic today!
